Comet 103P/Hartley meets a Galaxy (and other images)

Comet 103P/Hartley is growing brighter, I hope to get some interesting images in the near future, if the weather at GRAS05 holds.

In the meantime, here's some amazing images, Bernhard Haeusler's web page with animations and an image of Comet 103P passing the Whirlpool galaxy, a nice colour image from Rolando Ligustri, Dennis Persyk, another stunning image near the Whirlpool, a mosaic in colour from Rolando Ligustri, a nice image from Eric Byssnick and another animation of the comet near the Whirlpool galaxy from R. Frerrand.

The latest EPOXI spacecraft image of 103P is up,

UPDATE: The weather at GRAS05 didn't hold up, the SOuthern hemisphere GRAS is clouded out as well, and there's clouds over my house .
